Standard PubLaunch [SUPPLIER TYPE]* Agreement
This agreement is between [WRITER NAME] (“Supplier”) and [WRITER NAME] (“Writer”) and concerns the following manuscript:

This contract will be considered null and void if the Writer is using the PubLaunch crowdfunding platform and does not reach his or her crowdfunding funding target.
In addition, this contract will be considered null and void if the Writer fails to pay the Supplier within six months of this contract’s signing date.

The [SUPPLIER TYPE] agrees to do the following on the manuscript:

2. Delivery
Writer supplied the manuscript as a Word file at the start of the process. Writer will not make changes to the manuscript except as part of the editorial and quality control processes. Any changes by the writer outside of these phases of the project will result in additional fees.
3. Payment
The agreed-upon fee (including taxes where applicable) of [SERVICE ESTIMATE] is to be paid by the Writer to the [SUPPLIER TYPE] in full at the start of the project, once PubLaunch has received the total project fees. The payment will be delivered through Stripe.
4. Termination
This contract may only be terminated in the case of family or medical emergencies. In the case of non-delivery by the Supplier, the Supplier must refund the fee in full.
5. Timeframe
- The Writer will pay the Supplier within six months of this contract’s signing date. If the Writer is crowdfunding, the crowdfunding campaign must be successfully completed within six months of this contract’s signing date.
- Supplier will complete the work within six months of receiving payment for their service from the Writer. In cases where the Supplier is working as part of a publishing team, the Writer will update the project timeline to reflect that the Supplier is now being assigned the work.
6. Indemnity
[SUPPLIER SERVICE] is intrinsically a process of offering advice and suggestions to the Writer. While the [SUPPLIER TYPE] will make every effort to bring questionable material and other problems to the Writer’s attention, the Writer agrees to indemnify and save harmless PubLaunch and the [SUPPLIER TYPE] from any and all claims or demands, including legal fees, arising out of any alleged libel or copyright infringement committed by the Writer in creating the work.
7. Applicable Laws
The terms of this agreement shall be interpreted according to the laws of Ontario, Canada.
